National Guard Memorial Museum

The museum takes visitors through 6,000 sq. ft. of artifacts, exhibits and images covering nearly 400 years of National Guard history in vivid detail.

The National Guard's rich history is filled with dynamic change and inspiring stories of honor, duty and sacrifice. Since 1636, the Guard has reflected the political and social dynamics of the day. The National Guard Memorial Museum comprises more than 5,600 square feet of artifacts, images and interactive exhibits telling the expansive story of the citizen-soldier

The National Guard Educational Foundation was founded in 1975 with a mission to educate the public and foster awareness about the contributions made by the National Guard of the United States. NGEF administers the National Guard Memorial Museum, Library and its interactive website, www.ngef.org. In addition to key information about the museum, our website includes the Guard Muster, an interactive, permanent register of Guardsmen that preserves individual legacies of service, sacrifice and bravery.
